South Salt Lake : Murals & More

South Salt Lake is home to amazing murals painted on buildings every where you look. It is also full of local breweries and distilleries, as well as some cool and unique shops. This community has transformed into an enjoyable destination to try local craft beers with great food, visit its shops, and check out the incredible urban art. Recently my family went to an event called Mural Fest in this area, it was a fantastic time. The festival has created a map, that makes it easy to do your own tour anytime you like. Grab your bike ,drive and walk or even take Trax (both the Central Pointe & South Salt Lake Stations are perfect) . Have a great time and let me know what you think.

The mural above and patio below are at local brewery Level Crossing.

A Super Cool BMW 2002 in front of Local Brewery Saltfire Brewing Co. Tavern drinks are served on their patio.

Shades Brewing Company has a Tap Room with a large patio, and an amazing array of fruity Kviek style beers.

Beehive Distilling has a beautiful bar serving spirits and often local food trucks park in front.

The SLC Bicycle Collective is a fantastic non-profit with the mission to promote cycling as a form on transportation and recreation. They run a wonderful program that refurbishes used bikes and gives them to local kids who would benefit.

Signed and Numbered is a favorite of mine for custom framing.

Clever Octopus is an Arts & Crafts Thrift store, it is huge inside with everything to be creative you can imagine for the best prices. Take your kids, they will absolutely love it!

One of several amazing artistic mail boxes located around the streets, made by Sugar Post.
